DEAR MUTHUH

My lil' Adventure...

Day 5

Muthuh,

I'm really enjoying your stories, and have been reading them for months now. I thought you might enjoy hearing about a little adventure that happened to me last fall that I may not have had the courage to do had I not been reading your rides.

I, too, spend a little time each night on the Internet looking for friends to talk to and meet other riders up this way to ride with. I have a cherry red 98 Sporty 1200. I ran across a guy who was riding through my part of Virginia on one of his rides from Maryland to the Great Smokey Mountains and back. We had chatted online and in emails for a couple of months beforehand and grew to enjoy each other's company. I was looking forward to his stopping by on his way back home. I knew he was single but he always said his intent was not to turn this into anything other than a couple of riding buds meeting up for Day Number 5 of his ride.

By the time the ride started, we had become close friends and our teasing and inuendos led me to hope for less of a platonic evening, but I was determined not to lead it in that direction - but I would certainly follow! Some nights, after we talked online, I would read some of your rides and how you stop in at cities of people you've met online, meet them and got a wonderful local-flavor tour of their towns. That is such a great way of touring by motorcycle! I was interested by this time to show my new friend a good time in my own backyard - scenic rides and back-porch comforts that he wouldn't have gotten in a motel room alone in a strange city.

On Day 5, ( he would call me every night of his ride) I got his phone call that he would be arriving by 4pm. I had a very nice evening planned - from a ride to the local lake, some back road twisties, to a sunset view from the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Before it got totally dark, we rode the back roads home to my cabin overlooking the rolling hills of my back yard. Starting off with wine and a short walk to the river in my back yard, followed by stretching out on my back porch for a steak dinner on my BBQ grill, more wine and dessert. I could see the five days of hard riding melt away in his eyes.

Always the gentleman, we were sticking to our agreement to keep this friendly and platonic. Well into our 2nd bottle of wine, he sat next to me on my porch swing, put his arm around me and we watched the last remnants of twilight fade into pitch black, punctuated by pinpricks of starlight. Life couldn't have been better right then. We talked for hours and laughed til we cried, sharing stories of the road. I couldn't remember a better evening and hoped it would last forever.

The wine must have gotten to me faster than I thought, for the next thing I knew I was waking up the next morning. I was in my bed, wearing my panties and bra with my clothing draped over the chair next to me, tucked in under the comforter with a rose from my garden on the pillow next to me over a folded piece of paper. I quickly threw on my robe, ran downstairs to the couch to find it neatly made up like I had left it, intending for him to sleep there overnight. Sitting on the bottom step, my English Bulldog curled at my feet eyeing me, I unfolded the letter and began to read.

"Dear Jewel"

I could not have imagined a more enjoyable evening on the road. Your hospitality and friendship made Day 5 the highlight of this, or any other trip I've been on in recent years. When you fell asleep in my arms on your swing, I hope you don't mind, but I carried you upstairs and put you to bed. The smile on your face told me you had a good time as well. I allowed myself the one pleasure of removing your things so you would be more comfortable. The lace panties were a nice touch - I permitted myself the fantasy of thinking they were meant for my enjoyment. I leave it to your imagination how long I lingered enjoying the sight.

I think the best thing at this point is to fade away into the darkness - your mystery man - but know that I will cherish the meeting forever. I hope my departure doesn't wake you and I imagine you waking up in the morning reading this on your back porch watching the sunrise. Look into your warm cup of coffee, held in your lap for warmth, and know I am there in spirit. Thanks for everything.

Well! I suppose I was dissapointed that I fell asleep, because the panties were very much meant for him, but in retrospect, I couldn't have asked for a nicer evening. I owe it all to you for showing me the fun us fellow bikers can have showing you travelers a little 'local flavor' as you put it in your writings. I'd invite you to do the same here on your travels, but I'm afraid your wife might not appreciate it... but I have the feeling you'd be equally as honorable and not take advantage of me either.

Keep up the writings - I am with you on every ride!

Jewel - Virginia

...

Dear Jewel:

My wife sleeps naked, so I wouldn't have dreamt to leave your panties and bra on - thinking it would be so uncomfortable for you. Invite anyway! She rides with me on many of my rides.
