Thunder Press Magazine
Hey Guys... I got this today from one of my more eloquent readers, a guy named...well, I dunno his name as he was reluctant to sign it, I suppose, but his email address is mike1jack2@msn.com. Mike1Jack2....hmmmm - seems perhaps he has a close relationship with another guy named Jack, I dunno, but I though y'all would enjoy this: (Muthuh)

DEAR MUTHUH

It has been months since an update. Nobody gives a shit about ice storms---it's fucking winter, duh. Give it up and pass it on to one of your more intelligent acquaintances, if you have any, who maybe rides more, does more, can shoot a camera that isn't upside-down, and perhaps gives a fuck about sustaining a site. Sorry: giving up on you. Adios.

OK... never one to back away from a scuffle...

Dear Mike or Jack, or perhaps the both of you are reading this together over a glass of wine in front of a fire, hell, I dunno... Maybe I should just say, ... Dear Asshole,
Do I really look like I give a fuck if you "give up on me" or not? This site isn't for you, piss-ant. I do this site for family and friends who drop in from time to time to see what I'm up to. I'd really prefer little gerbil-stuffers like you don't read my crap anyway. Don't be "sorry"... hell, you've brightened my day knowing I won't have you eating up my bandwidth anymore... Adios back atcha...

Muthuh

Well... it seems quite a few of you don't share the same frustrations as our lil' friend here. Too many to respond to right away, but I will eventually. Amid my usual day-long chore of determining if I want my breasts enlarged or my "equipment" enlonged... (well, if enlarged can be a word, why not enlonged?) ... I've received quite a few emails about this guy. All of which, so far, has been supportive, and only one giving me a lot of shit for getting riled up about it. And that from an old friend - I suppose ya gotta expect that from a friend. Here's a sampling, in order of receipt, and edited only for personal stuff and the not-too-rare F-word which my kids maybe shouldn't see quite yet (No, I'm not particularily religious about shit like that) ...

  • Get your ass out on your scoot and blow a few cobwebs out. Ya sound like a bitchy old woman - pissin and moanin about shit you can't control anyhow. Up here in PA, most of the snow was gone so I rolled out the Harley yesterday, let it warm up for 10 minutes then took a ride to the mailbox and back - that's a good 500 feet or more round trip. Best part was no helmet, no gloves, no boots - a little cold at 11 degrees - but the air was fresh and crisp.
  • Quit? ---Hell No, Not on a dare from the weasel
  • Muthuh, sometimes some people just need to get a f***in' life...& not try to live thru other people. I think you do a hell of a good job!! Keep up the good work.... ride safe...hope to meet up & have a beer with one of these days, maybe down at the inlet.
  • So some asshole rattles your cage, does that mean it's ok to start crying like a little girl and threaten to shut down the web site? (I was clearly whimpering, not crying... didn't start crying til after your letter, thanks)
  • I could say a lot about the e-mail that you received from the butt pirate that didn't have the balls to sign his name, much less beat his gums about not being entertained. I just do not feel qualified stooping to his level, which, without a doubt is about eye level with the button on the waist band on Mikes jeans. With the address he has I'm thinking that with Mike being 1 and Jack coming in second, I'll wager that the address would best be interpreted as Jack n off Mike, with Jack bein' a feisty, nasty little bitch.

If he rides, he likely doesn't do it well, so he lives vicariously through your adventures and tends to throw a hissy fit when you don't float his boat. The worst of this misadventure is that this is the second germ on the internet today, and this one will probably linger longer than the first, I'm afraid the chances of hearing from Rump Ranger again are high.

f*** him. I live in the valley of the sun, I can ride everyday, and usually do, but I still like to get on here and see whats going on in the places where you can't. So keep up the scribes,I'll be around.

  • First good laugh I've had all day you ole fart.
  • It sounds like you have hit the end of the rope and there ain't no knot to hang on to! I guess you need to ask yourself, are you writing for that asshole or are you writing for you? Hugs to you my friend - keep writing!
  • Hey Muthuh, I have to wonder about the IQ of someone who feels the need to complain about someone's site when all he had to do is click a frigging mouse and move on. The last time I checked, this thing was called the WORLD WIDE web. Ain't no law says he has to open your site. I've discovered there are those who do things and those who won't do shit but complain about those who do. Did this joker pay any of your ISP fees lately?

I tune in because I like the stories and the pictures, but that's my choice. I'm glad there are folks like you willing to take the time to share rides (or trips) with those of us who live on the other side of the continent. I bookmark those sites and check in from time to time to see if there's anything new. If you never write another word or take another picture, I've enjoyed what you've done. Don't let this asshole get to you because there are those of us who appreciate your efforts and hope you will continue. Anyway, when I get to the east coast, I want you to show me some of those rides first hand. I look forward to following Ol' Huck down the BRP.

And what's with this anonomous shit anyway. If you're going to dis a man's work, have the balls to put your name on your complaint. And another thing, you know this piss ant would never say these things to your face, man to man, because he would fear having to deal with you. When I was in the Navy, we had a name for those type of people. Oh yeah, cowards... Keep on riding and writing

  • I for one enjoy the fact that you can get out and go. I think it is awesome that you can do these rides and those of us who want to read about it will and those who do not F### em !! Keep on riding and enjoying the Freedom and the ride. Thanks for the wonderful stories !!
  • Whats wrong sugar? lol.. life sux sometimes don't it? Phuq mike ok? keep ur site up, its pretty good readin as far as im concerned.. cya around!!
  • Please don't close down your site, I will never learn the end of your stories then. Kinda sounds like you need a rode trip and some fun, let your hair down and kick back a few days and a couple hundred miles or so.
  • Don't You dare give it up!!!! ...look it will eventually warm up..Your Mother in law may even turn out to be a good cook...and the computer virus is a flook. So You see there is a brighter tomorrow. I thank God for having met You, Sweetman, I am begging You to keep up the site, pleeeeeeeeezzzz *on my knees* for this redneck in Idaho (The 'on your knees' thing did bring a smile to my face, but the Mother-in-law won't be doing any cooking, I assure you!)
  • I would imagine Jack (or Jack-off) or whatever his name may be is suffering from cabin fever in the cold, icy north or possibly sun stroke somewhere in the sunny extreme south. He's gonna give up on you for someone more intelligent? Seems the intelligent ones won't get their scoots out on icy roads. Cold air is tolerable, but ice is suicide. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Keep up the good work on your site, man. Ain't none close to it. Oh, by the way. I'm planning on doing a trip down the Natchez Trace, possibly late spring or early fall of '03. I was hoping you'd have yours done first so I could pick up a few pointers, but I see you are planning it for sometime in '04. I'll keep you posted on mine. Take care and have another Tequila.
  • Hey, Scrooge. Am on my Blackberry in San Antonio - Will be interested to get home and check the message you posted on the site. Even if you were not posting my stuff, there's no way I'd discourage you from posting your adventures. Plus, more than others, I can appreciate the effort and work involved, especially when you post daily. There you are on the road, using time that could be spent riding or downing brews, but instead you're editing pics and composing text so others (including, no doubt, a bunch of wannabes) can live your experiences with you. I say keep on keepin' on. More when I get back to Dallas. dv
  • Hey muthuh, Don't let one idiot mess your day. Some days are just shit days and aint nothing you can do about it, just ride it out, it will get better. I am sorry your having a bad day. I like your site, your pixs, and your tours and trips. Not only that, but I love your sense of humor, so go tell jack or mike or whatever to bite my butt!!!
  • Muthuh, tell "Mike1Jackoff2" to get back to his "Selff***" site and quit wasting your bandwidth. I am pissed because I can't ride. Picked up my new Ultra Classic this month and only have 2xx miles on it. Too much ice and snow and it didn't come with snow tires.

BTW, I have been a follower for quite a while and I really enjoy your trips. Wanted to apply for the trip in May but can't get vacation scheduled. Also am working the Branson Motorcycle Rally. If you ever get in the Branson, MO area let me know, I will ice down a few extra cases of Bud. Got a few extra bedrooms too. Keep up the good rides

  • Enjoy the site, hope you keep it up ...if the want-a-be's trailer queens don't like they ain't got to look at it, doubt if they could do better cause you got to ride.
  • Hey Muthuh, Tell Jack or Mike or whoever the hell he is, to stuff it where the sun don't shine. You keep on keepin on. I enjoy your ride recaps and adventures whenever you can go so keep it up.
  • well muthuh, I know what its like to be in a shitty mood. Been down for the best part of two years, following a crash. But I get a lot of vicarious pleasure out of your rides and writing. I'm sure I'm not the only one, dont let one asshole get you down. By the way I've been riding since 1955, and have ridden all the lower 48 at one time or another. Ride easy
  • Screw the complainer. I think your response to him pretty well took care of the situation. He complains about your product (pictures, etc.) and then complains that there is not enough of it---that you should be riding in the winter and filing your reports of the rides. Does he enjoy your web site as we do, or not.

P.S. Next Thursday I am riding down to San Diego, CA, to join a bunch of nuts (not a HOG group) and leave the next morning for Daytona Beach, FL. Watch a qualifying race for NASCAR and come back home. Just for the ride. (Just out for a lil joy ride, huh?)

  • HEY SHITTY MOOD!!!! Don't go away--i enjoy hearing your stories & pictures---can't help it if there are a few illiterate idiots out there. We need them as they remind us how lucky we are that we're not as f***ing stupid as they are!!!!! Pasadena,MD.
  • Hey Muthuh, F*** that ASSHOLE and his Bone Smuggli'n friend. I don't give a rat's ass what the f*** he thinks. I really enjoy reading about the rides whenever you take them. If this F*** thinks he could do a better job where's his site??? Keep on rid'n Bro (where and whenever you want) and keep up the good work. South Jersey (Sorry 'bout the censorship, but my kids read this crap!)
  • Screw him (or them?). I'm not a frequent visitor to your site, but I do enjoy it. Being the wife of a biker, I don't get to go on many rides, but they are what keep the husband sane and grounded. Plus, I'm from East Tennessee, so I enjoy reading about your rides in the mountains. And if the jerk doesn't like the pictures -- let him read the story and use his imagination to create his own pictures. Oh, wait, that presumes that he is able to read! Maybe that's his problem, he's used to reading material that involves looking at the pictures, not the words. My vote is - Keep up the good work. There are a lot of us out here that appreciate you, your site, and your willingness to share your rides with us. Let mike1jack2 log on to www.iamanasshole.com. Love your site. Look forward to reading about future rides.
  • Muthuh, Sounds to me like Mike wasn't gettin' his "packin it" from Jack so he's taking it out on you..... F*** him ! ...what an ass! (or maybe lack of.) You've got my vote .... Continue with your site !!!! you do a fantastic job! Sioux City, IA
  • Sorry you are having such a horrible day... not sure if i can help.. I suppose you just have to look differently and re-evaluate the day.... it may help. My guess is you have more "positive readers", friends, etc (me being one of them) ;) You are always welcome to vent on me.... makes me forget my own problems.. so not only did you get to vent... you made me forget about me for awhile... thank you : )
  • Don't go anywhere. Do your own thing. I enjoy your site and read when you update. You just send and update when YOU are ready. All of us will wait and enjoy them when it happens. F**K 'EM AND FEED THEM BEANS!!!!
  • Cool your hormones man. Don't get all excited about one persons ranting. There are plenty of us that know you and enjoy your adventure stories. I can't believe you are letting this guy get under your skin. Simmer down a little before you send out another message like this one to your faithful readers. I think all of us that have web sites have gotten something from someone that we didn't expect or appreciate but the majority of folks continue their support. So we do our best to the faithful. I'd prefer not to hear this kind of crap from you. You are better than that! I would have just deleted the message. Keep up the great stories and pictures. I'll be back often to read them and visit your site. Look forward to riding with you again, any time. Give me a call when you are heading over this way. Keep the faith! You have a great site. (Man, the emails from friends are right to the point, eh?)
  • Welcome to the Shitty Mood Club, now known as the S.M.C, of course some will think that stands for Smart-ass Motorcycle Club, but who gives a shit? I do however think your smart (did I really say smart?) to ask for a vote. If you get 50% positive replies, from your 100% email members, then keep it up of course, If you don't get hardly any replies then those that got your email really don't care weather you continue or not, right? The f*** head that said your not a good photographer is just a jealous nut, and is to be dismissed, as he clearly doesn't know what the f*** he's talking about. Be cool (So far it's 100% positive...)
  • Yo Muthuh, Don't hang up you're spurs for another 60 or so years! We enjoy each and every adventure. Tell "Twits" like him to go fly a lead balloon.
  • "F*** HIM"!!! Keep up the good work..... Most of us ride because we "like" to not because we "have" to! What is fun about sub-zero wind chill riding? Not a damn thing! Some "real" bikers have common sense enough not to. It sure is easy to sit behind a nice warm and dry computer and bitch about other folks..... Great site, keep it going.
  • Muthuh: Man, the winter must be getting to you. I can't believe you let some asshole bother you. I never thought you really gave a shit what anybody thought. Kind of why I like your web site so much. Not really a rebel, just a guy who likes what he is doing and is damn good at it. And as long as you were happy with the results, life is good. F@#k what anybody else thinks. It's a pride thing.

I'm hoping you keep it going. I visit your site every day just to see what's going on. And I'm sure there are others out there that feel the same way; we know the time and effort involved it putting it together, doing the daily updates when you are out on the road. Not to mention the expense. (Which you didn't)

Your gonna do what you want and what's best for you Muthuh; I hope you keep up the good work. If you don't, I've had fun living your Harley Life vicariously through your site. If you do decide to pack it in, would you mind giving me an e-mail address so I can keep in touch? I'm thinking others would appreciate it, as well. I'd hate to see you drop off the screen. Thanks. Also, keep me in mind for the Adirondack trip. (I see you are looking at some time in 2004.) I assume you may be doing the Laconia thing. I'm like you; I don't care much for the rallies, so I may end up joining up after that, if it fits in to your plans. Thanks again, Muthuh. (from Buffalo) (I'd plan that trip specifically to avoid Laconia!)

  • Dear Muthuh, Blow off/step on the piss ants of life. You have keep me sane through a lot of shit and I for one will miss the site if you quit. I have been a silent reader for...well since around 99 or so and have watched as your site has developed over the years. Spent the year of 2000 in Korea without the ride thanks to my Uncle Sam. Also do around 180 days every year on the road to such cool places as Kuwait and Afghanistan without the ride. I visit often when I can't ride as you ride a lot of the same roads I do and like to do the same kind of riding. I live in Fayetteville, NC at Pope AFB. Thanks for sharing the great and sometimes not so great times on the road. You gave me the courage to do 9,000 mile trip out west (alone) last Sept-Oct. Visited some of the places you did and discovered some of my own. Ride free and %&(k those who don't understand.

PS: keep the pictures coming - I lost a 36 exp roll of film in Yellowstone that I paid $8 for, due to a camera SNAFU...probably my fault. Have used some of yours to show the family what the place was like.

  • Don't pay any attention to the idiot...keep doing what you do! My friends and I will always be here. Ride safe, ride for fun...
  • Muthuh, keep it going. I enjoy the readin' and ridin'.
  • As for your web site....Go with your feelings and not the majority. (Looks like I do both)
  • Hi Muthuh, Got news for you. we're all in a shitty mood. Another 6 inches of snow today in Indiana and I haven't rode since Oct. Another lousy winter. Just last weekend went to Kentucky to pick up sidecar that I'm planning to install on my old goldwing and can't even get it into shed to work on it as weather is too cold. Keep writing about your ice storms or whatever else you want too. Just read that story yesterday as I really haven't been keeping up on your site for a while. Doesn't mean I forgot about it. Just that I have other things to do once in a while.

Unlike some people who have nothing better to do than write emails to someone telling them to stop writing. F*** him. as you say you don't need his shit or opinions. Keep writing and riding as much as you can and as much as you want. There are lots of us out here who feel as you do. see you on the road

  • Please don't stop with your site............if the asshole doesn't like it he doesn't have to look at it!!!!! Haven't talked to you in a while, but you MUST be in a shitty mood today to give in to a loser like that so easily............ Get it together and keep up the cool site...............
  • Love the reply you gave this guy(or guys). f*** them and their fireplace and their glass of wine! You got a great site so don't close up!! Keep living and riding the way you want. From Yanceyville NC, where he wrenches and rides when HE wants!
  • Keep up the good work. I'm from Vancover Island and love to hear the stories and hope like hell I can get to your end of N.A. and enjoy some of those great rides -THANKS
  • Everybody's got one, and some people are one. Don't give up the site. I enjoy stopping by from time to time just to see what's up. I'm in Pennsylvania, and this winter has been totally shit. Haven't been on the bike since the first of Nov. Now for some people that may not be a big deal, but I log more miles on my '96' FLHT in a year than I do on my GMC. Wife and I along with two other couples rode down to Myrtle Beach for the fall rally in Oct. I looked for you at Murrells Inlet (can't remember the name of the bar you like there.) Anyway, don't let some dickhead get you down.
  • Tell Mike to get used to disappointment. You must Respect a man's right to Freedom: Ride Free!
  • Don't let one whiner ruin your day Muthuh!!! Just cause they're in a shitty mode doesn't mean you have to be. I found your site a couple of months ago and am already planning a trip to SW New Mexico from Austin, TX based in large part on the information gleaned from your site. Love the stories AND the pictures (as well as the maps). Hang in there.
  • Muthuh; This is the worst winter I can remember in 33 years of riding. To hell with Mike1Jack2. You ride when/where/how you want to and if we are lucky, you'll make time to write a few lines and post a few photos. Cary, NC
  • Please, don't pull your site down. I love the pic's, the trips, the letters, the whole thing. It keeps me going , especially since I broke up with my ole' man and I don't have access to a Harley anymore. Talk about withdrawal!!! Anyway, I'm a big fan so just ignore dumb assholes like Mike1Jack2 and keep up the excellent work.
  • You going to listen to some queer bait that rides a Ural in real life? Riding and owning a Harley is just a wet dream for him/her/it. The great thing about this country, something Mike1Jack2 likes to take full advantage of, but of course no one else is permitted to do the same, is that you can speak out your opinion, regardless of what it is. And the even greater thing, if you don't like it, you don't have to listen! This is a revolutionary idea called freedom of speech. It should also be called freedom of listening. So should you quit the web-site? Only if MikeJackinoff is going to bother you. Screw him, well it sounds as if Jack is screwing him. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next update. (Well, I thought Urals were a cool bike to have if you come from Russia?)
  • Don't fret over some ass who sends an e-mail cutting down your web-site. You do a great job. He's probably some crotch rocket moron anyway. Just finished a full service on the bike and I'm ready to roll. C'mon Spring.....Kansas
  • Hey Muthuh, Don't pack it in. Maybe this guys mother-in- law just moved in, his 14-yr old is on a date, the computer has a virus....... Sounds like HE needs a ride! Sounds like YOU need a ride!! I KNOW I need a ride!!! Pass the tequilla! If this guy had any fortitude he wouldn't be whinning about what you're not doing. He'd be telling what he's done. I think that speaks for itself. Keep up the good work. Most important do what makes You happy.
Well, I'll add another batch as I get 'em onto a second page, in case you're enjoying these as much as I am... thanks for your encouragement. These are all as much emails to y'all as to me, so hope you got a kick out of them. I'll send a link to this page to the twit and then remove his name from the mail list. Don't want to unduly embarrass him do we? hehehe

Looks like I'll pay the renewal fee and keep on writin' - Muthuh
