Monitor Resolution
Monitor resolution is a measurement of the number of pixels (dots of light on your screen) displayed across and down your screen. Monitors have the capability of displaying several different screen resolutions depending on the make and model of the monitor as well as the type and memory on your Video Card. Most new computers come configured with 640x480 screen resolution, which is typically too small for optimum enjoyment on the Internet. While many web Designers, including the MUTHUH's RIDES site design their site so this resolution monitor can obtain benefit from their low screen resolution, but it is recommended that the minimum screen resolution for any Internet use be increased to 800x600. This is not meant to be a tutorial on how to change your resolution, however, the controls to do so on a Windows-based computer can be found by double clicking the MY COMPUTER icon, then the CONTROL PANEL icon, then the DISPLAY icon, then clicking on the SETTINGS tab. Move the settings to 800 x 600 or higher while maintaining 16 bit color depth or higher. If you cannot get 800 x 600 resolution without the color setting falling to 256 colors, then your video card has too little memory to do this. You may still keep 256 colors, but the effect will not be as good. We recommend you get someone knowledgable in changing these settings to complete this operation if you are not comfortable in doing so.
